PROJECT
9 Natural Dyeing
Target Date : 2022
Actions: Along with global warming and climate change, diminishing natural resources and
waste problems have encouraged the textile sector to seek different alternatives, as in all
production activities. In this regard, natural energy use, organic raw material selection, environ-
mentally friendly production methods, recycled water, dyes, yarns, fabrics, and natural dyes are
among the alternative methods that can be utilized. In the light of scientific data, using biotech-
nology and other modern techniques can increase color yield and fastness properties as well as
the efficiency of coloring with natural dyes. Therefore, laboratory studies were carried out with
natural dyes obtained from factories in the Dyehouse factory within the scope of good produc-
tion activities.
Results:
Environmental:
• Odor enhancer/preventative
• Antimicrobial
• Moth/insect/mouse repellent
• Protection from UV rays
• Sustainable ecology
• Minimum carbon footprint
• Easily biodegradable product
Social:
• Low toxicity content
• Skin-friendly product
PROJECT
